This year’s mini convention will feature several displays by the Division of Pensions and Benefits as well as the opportunity for actively employed members covered by the State Health Benefits Program to complete a Biometric Health Screening , a required component of the SHBP’s NJWELL program. The screenings will be held on March 3, 2020 and March 4, 2020 in the Fort Pierce Salon B across from the meeting and exhibit rooms.
In addition to a non-fasting fingerstick screening which measures your cholesterol and glucose , your Body Mass Index (BMI) will be calculated based on your height and weight measurements. Results will be automatically uploaded to credit your NJWELL activities. Representatives from Horizon BCBSNJ will be onsite to answer any questions, describe other activities that earn NJWELL points (ie online activities, coaching, preventive screenings) and to assist you with completion of the required online Health Assessment. Eligible members who complete the NJWELL requirements and achieve a total of 800 points by October 31, 2020 will earn a prepaid card valued at $250.
