ABOUT US:
To
better serve the 10,000 Correction Officers who are members of the New
Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, on January 15, 1991 the
Correction Officers’ Committee (COC) was formed. The committee is made up
of delegates from County and State Correctional Facilities.
The goal of the Correction Officers’
Committee is to improve the status of the Correctional Officer profession,
ensure that Correction Officers have a strong clear voice over reforming
the criminal justice systems as it impacts corrections, and most
importantly preserve the safety of the Correction Officer. The committee
plans on achieving these goals through the introduction and support of
legislation and regulatory proposals favorable to Correction Officers at
the State and County levels.
